About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Electronics Engineer to join our Defence team, specializing in PCB manufacturing. As a key member of our small, dynamic team, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and analyzing electronic circuits, as well as generating requirements for electronic systems.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and develop electronic circuits, ensuring high-integrity and power-dense electronics.
  • Analyze electronic circuits to identify areas for improvement.
  • Generate requirements for electronic systems, considering factors such as security clearance and regulatory compliance.
  • Capture schematics and designs, using industry-standard tools.
  • Provide PCB layout advice and review, ensuring optimal design and manufacturing processes.
  • Select and review components, considering factors such as reliability and cost-effectiveness.
  • Take on varied engineering tasks to support projects and programs, demonstrating flexibility and adaptability.
  • Participate in internal and external meetings, effectively communicating technical and project issues to stakeholders.
  • Interface with customers on technical and project issues, providing expert guidance and support.
  • Document your work in line with local operating procedures, ensuring transparency and accountability.
  • Take an active role in Continuous Improvement, identifying areas for process enhancement and implementing changes.
Requirements
  • Minimum HNC in Electrical/Electronic Engineering.
  • Team player with strong collaboration skills, able to work effectively in a dynamic environment.
  • Quick learner with a flexible and adaptable approach, able to adapt to changing project requirements.
  • Understanding of electronics manufacturing processes and techniques, including PCB layout supervision.
  • Basic knowledge of analogue and digital design, including circuit simulation and wiring definition.
  • Experience with schematic capture and drawing review, using industry-standard tools.
Desirable Qualifications
  • Experience in the Defence/Aerospace or safety-regulated environment, with knowledge of relevant regulations and standards.
  • Experience in the Naval/Maritime domain, with knowledge of relevant technologies and systems.
