About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Electronics Engineer to join our team at SEGULA Technologies. As an Electronics Engineer, you will play a key role in providing electronic engineering support to our manufacturing and test departments, and supporting our Design Engineering team with the implementation of new products.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide electronic systems engineering knowledge and skills to engineering projects.
- Produce and check technical documentation, including specifications, electronic design information, test plans and specifications, and technical reports.
- Support the Test, Production, and Quality Department throughout the product cycle.
- Produce evidence to support conformance verification to standards, including BS EN50155.
- Investigate failures of electronic systems and components, determine root cause, and present findings.
- Specify test equipment and specifications to undertake measurements or monitoring of electrical and electronic systems and equipment while in operation.
- Support external compliance testing within the UK.
- Support production installation abroad if required.
- Ensure all reports participate in Health and Safety management processes.
- Investigate and report on failed or defective components in a timely manner.
Requirements
- Engineering degree (or equivalent) in electronic engineering.
- Experience working in an electronic test facility, ideally with sub-assembly build knowledge.
- Practical experience with Railway/Rolling Stock electronics development.
- Experience with control systems.
- Experience writing test specifications and reports.
Desirable Qualifications
- Experience working in electronic design and development environments.
- Experience using Electronic CAD systems, such as Altium PCB Designer and AutoCAD.
- Experience and knowledge in design for electromagnetic compatibility (EMC).
- Experience with National Instruments Lab View platform.
