Environmental Sustainability Specialist

We are seeking an experienced Environmental Sustainability Specialist to join our team at Samworth Brothers Limited. As a key member of our Environmental Team, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the company's environmental policies and procedures are implemented effectively across all sites.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and implement environmental strategies, compliance processes, and procedures in line with company policies and industry standards.
- Work closely with the Senior Teams and SHE Manager to ensure a common and consistent approach to environmental matters.
- Facilitate the development and implementation of the Bradgate Environmental Management System (EMS) to support certification to ISO 14001.
- Coordinate and support management of stakeholder relationships, including the Environment Agency, customers, and local community.
- Identify performance improvement opportunities and develop projects to achieve targets and improve risk rating and cost efficiency.
- Previous environmental experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
- Experience of being involved in ISO 14001 verification audits.
- Up-to-date knowledge of environmental legislation.
- Experience in report writing and basic business financial reporting/interpretation.
- Strong communication and influencing skills at all levels.
- Ability to work under pressure and within tight deadlines.
