Teaching Assistant for Students with Special Educational Needs

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate SEN Teaching Assistant to join our team at a 'Good' Ofsted-rated primary school in Barnet. As a SEN Teaching Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting students with complex needs, promoting their educational and personal development, and fostering a supportive and nurturing learning environment.
Key Responsibilities- Provide One-on-One Support: Assist students with SEN in their educational and personal development, tailoring your approach to meet their individual needs.
- Collaborate with Teachers: Work closely with class teachers to deliver engaging and inclusive lessons, ensuring that students with SEN receive the support they need to succeed.
- Foster a Supportive Environment: Create a positive and inclusive learning environment that promotes independence, confidence, and social skills.
- Record Progress: Maintain accurate records of student progress and behavior, contributing to comprehensive assessments and reports.
- Experience Working with SEN: Previous experience working as a Teaching Assistant with SEN experience is essential.
- Passion for Working with Children: A genuine passion for working with children and young people, with a patient and empathetic approach.
- Excellent Communication Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with students, colleagues, and parents/carers.
- Flexibility and Adaptability: Flexibility and adaptability, with the ability to thrive in different educational settings.
