Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior PCB Design Engineer to join our client's design department. As a key member of the team, you will be responsible for creating innovative and cost-effective PCB designs that meet specific project requirements.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and develop accurate and cost-effective PCB designs for new products
  • Identify opportunities for design improvement and propose changes where applicable
  • Ensure all PCB designs conform to industry standards and design specifications
  • Liaise with internal teams to ensure effective PCB integration into finished products
  • Evaluate PCB product design and process capability using Statistical Process Control (SPC) methodology
  • Perform Design for Manufacturability (DFMA) studies and design reliability tests
  • Apply relevant toolsets, such as 6 Sigma, to improve PCB performance

Requirements

  • HNC / ONC Electrical Engineering or equivalent
  • Full understanding of IPC standards
  • Experience with multi-layer PCB design and manufacturing
  • Exposure to high current boards is essential
  • Proficiency in MS Windows, ECadstar, Blueprint, MRP/ERP, and data management software
  • Application of Design/Process capability assessment and improvements & DFMA tools

  • Strong understanding of PCB manufacturing processes
