Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior PCB Design Engineer to join our team at Major Recruitment. As a Senior PCB Design Engineer, you will play a key role in the design and development of innovative and cost-effective PCB designs for our clients.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and develop accurate and cost-effective PCB designs that meet specific project requirements for both development and manufacture.
  • Identify opportunities for improvement of PCB designs and create proposals for change where applicable.
  • Be the reference point for PCB specification and design.
  • Ensure that all PCB designs conform to design and industry standards and that all supporting data is logged and recorded correctly.
  • Evaluate PCB product design and process capability using Statistical Process Control (SPC) methodology.
  • Perform Design for Manufacturability (DFM) studies and design and conduct PCB reliability tests.
  • Apply relevant toolsets, such as 6 Sigma, to evaluate and improve PCB performance.

Requirements:

  • HNC / ONC Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
  • Experience of multi-layer PCB design and manufacturing.
  • Proficiency in MS Windows, ECadstar, Blueprint, MRP/ERP, and data management software.
  • Application of Design/Process capability assessment and improvements & DFMA tools.
