Outpatient Nurse - Maternity Cover
The Barts Health NHS Trust is seeking a skilled and experienced nurse to join our team as an Outpatient Nurse - Maternity Cover. This is a critical role in the smooth running of our respiratory clinics, where you will work closely with a multidisciplinary team to provide high-quality patient care.
Main Responsibilities
As an Outpatient Nurse - Maternity Cover, you will be responsible for:
- Providing expert nursing care to patients with respiratory conditions, including COPD, Interstitial Lung Disease, and Tuberculosis.
- Managing patients' care plans, including medication, treatment, and follow-up appointments.
- Collaborating with doctors, nurse specialists, pharmacists, and administrators to ensure seamless patient care.
- Developing and maintaining excellent standards of nursing care, administrative duties, and patient communication.
- Participating in multidisciplinary team meetings to discuss patient care and treatment plans.

Person Specification
The ideal candidate will have:
- Current, up-to-date NMC registration as a Registered Nurse.
- Recent experience of acute care, with knowledge of current professional issues.
- Excellent communication skills for caring for patients and communicating effectively across the multidisciplinary team.
- Able to work in a changing environment and actively support/promote planned change.
