Position Overview
An exceptional opportunity has emerged to become a vital member of the outpatient team as an Outpatient Nursing Associate. In alignment with our workforce development strategy, we envision Nursing Associates as integral to the future of our department. In this role, you will oversee operations in outpatient settings, manage a group of junior personnel, and assist with performance development reviews and one-on-one sessions. You will also serve as a mentor to students and apprentice nursing associates. Collaborating with nursing staff, you will be responsible for resource management and conducting environmental assessments.
We are committed to enhancing your clinical skills by providing monthly shifts in our day case unit, where you will gain hands-on experience in medication management and ambulatory care.
If you are passionate about making a difference and thrive in a supportive and compassionate team environment, we believe you possess the essential qualities to contribute effectively to our nursing team in outpatient services.
We have one full-time position available (4 days a week) and a part-time role (30 hours a week, 3 days a week). Additionally, we conduct one Saturday clinic per month and offer twilight sessions.
Main Responsibilities
We seek to recruit motivated, innovative Nursing Associates with outstanding communication abilities to join our outpatient nursing team.
The successful candidate will deliver patient-centered, evidence-based care, uphold high standards of care delivery, and ensure the safe and efficient management of patients.
The Nursing Associate will support the registered nurse by providing care to patients and executing specific clinical tasks and responsibilities to a high standard, under the guidance of a Registered Nurse.
The post holder will supervise and appropriately delegate tasks to support staff within the team and provide clinical and care advice as necessary.
Ideal candidates should possess strong interpersonal and time management skills, be effective communicators, organized, and capable of prioritizing tasks while working collaboratively within a team.
