About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Learning Support Assistant to join our team at Hartpury University and Hartpury College. As a Learning Support Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing academic and practical support to students across the college, both in and out of the classroom.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide individualized support to students with specific needs, enabling them to access their curriculum and achieve their academic goals.
  • Collaborate with lecturers and tutors to develop and implement support plans, ensuring students receive the necessary assistance to progress and succeed.
  • Contribute to the planning and delivery of support services for FE students, focusing on their employability and career aspirations.
  • Maintain accurate records and reports to inform student support and welfare initiatives.
Requirements
  • A keen interest in supporting students with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND).
  • A Level 2 qualification in literacy skills or equivalent.
  • Ability to provide support in both academic and practical settings.
  • Experience working with post-16 students in an educational environment (desirable).
  • Familiarity with our subject areas, including Equine, Sport, Agriculture, and Animal Management (desirable).
