About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic Learning Support Assistant to join our team at Protocol Education. As a Learning Support Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting the teacher and ensuring students are focused on the main task.

This is a dynamic and varied role, requiring a positive and proactive approach. You will work closely with the class teacher to support students' progress and provide individualized support to those who need it.

Key Responsibilities
  • Establish authentic relationships and trust with students
  • Collaborate with the class teacher to support students' progress
  • Work with students in groups or 1:1 settings to check understanding of learning
  • Use school behavior policy to reinforce positive behavior and classroom routine
  • Communicate tasks clearly to students of all abilities
  • Assist with classroom and material preparation, clearing up after lessons, and general administrative tasks
Requirements

  • Ability to calmly deal with stressful situations
  • Previous experience working in a school environment or with children (not essential)
