Job Title: Residential Care Leader

This is a challenging and rewarding role that requires a professional, energetic approach to supporting adults with learning disabilities and complex needs.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Rota manage a team effectively to ensure high-quality care and support
  • Promote and safeguard the welfare of adults, ensuring their rights and dignity are respected
  • Supervise and mentor staff to develop their skills and confidence
  • Conduct performance and probation reviews to ensure staff are meeting expectations
  • Write and develop risk assessments to ensure the safety of adults and staff
  • Facilitate best interest reviews to ensure adults' needs are met
  • Oversee and monitor care and support plans to ensure they are effective and person-centered
  • Ensure the home's policies and procedures meet the required CQC key lines of enquiry
  • Complete records in relation to accidents, incidents, and complaints
  • Carry out accident and incident investigations to identify areas for improvement
  • Lead by example, demonstrating a caring, passionate, and empathic approach to care and support
  • Ensure medication is administered as per policies and procedures and oversee stock control

Requirements:

  • Level 3 NVQ in Health and Social Care or equivalent
  • Substantial experience of working in a care or support setting
  • Natural leadership skills and ability to manage a team
  • Passionate about delivering high-quality care and support
