About the Role

The Buckinghamshire Council is seeking a dedicated and experienced Assistant Teacher to join our team at Stocklake Park School. As an Assistant Teacher, you will play a vital role in supporting the teaching and learning of our students with special educational needs.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist the Teacher in the planning, implementation, and evaluation of educational programs for students with special needs.
  • Provide individualized support to students, adapting teaching methods to meet their unique needs.
  • Collaborate with teaching staff, other professionals, and parents to ensure a comprehensive support system for students.
  • Lead whole classes during the Teacher's non-contact time and in their absence.
  • Participate in staff meetings, training sessions, and professional development opportunities to enhance your skills and knowledge.

Requirements

  • Minimum of three years' experience working with children and young people with special educational needs.
  • Good working knowledge of ICT to support learning.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Resilience, common sense, and a commitment to training.
