Desktop Support Engineer Opportunity

We are seeking a skilled Desktop Support Engineer to join our team at LA International. As a key member of our IT department, you will be responsible for providing technical support and maintenance for our desktop systems.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Complete assigned tasks within designated timeframes
  • Request and complete IMACs
  • Undertake project tasks in support of internal and external project managers
  • Complete NSR tasks to agreed timescales
  • Provide effective customer handling
  • Keep the project lead informed of any concerns and escalate as necessary
Requirements:
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Windows O/S (Windows 10 & Windows 7) including build, configuration, and registry settings
  • Desktop hardware architecture, particularly HP desktop and laptops
  • SCCM experience including OS deployment, application deployment, fault finding, monitoring, and reporting
  • Microsoft Office suite configuration, templates, macros, add-ins, advanced features, and user preference configuration
  • Active Directory basic administration and user configuration
  • Messaging and collaboration tools, including Microsoft Exchange environment, email client configuration, MS Outlook, and instant messaging tools
  • Networks experience, including LAN/WAN/vLAN and Wi-Fi technologies, DHCP, DNS/WINS, PXE, and VPN/remote connectivity
  • Automation, including scripting technologies such as PowerShell, VB Scripting, and batch Files
  • Security, including disk encryption using bit locker, NTFS permissions, and shared folder security
  • Computer peripherals, including printers, display screens, docking stations, port replicators, cameras, and scanners
  • Working knowledge of IT Service Management (ITSM) software (ServiceNow)
