Highly Specialist Speech and Language Therapist

About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled Speech and Language Therapist to join our Special Schools team at NELFT NHS Foundation Trust. As a core member of our team, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality care to children, young people, and their families in special schools.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver specialist speech and language therapy services to children and young people in special schools
- Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized care plans
- Conduct assessments and provide interventions to address communication and swallowing disorders
- Provide training and support to school staff to enhance their understanding of speech and language therapy
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives to ensure the highest standards of care
Requirements
- Registered with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC) as a Speech and Language Therapist
- Postgraduate qualification in Speech and Language Therapy or equivalent
- Experience working with children and young people with complex communication needs
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team
