Air Import Operator - Freight Forwarder
ALS Recruiting Solutions is seeking a highly skilled Air Import Operator to join their team. As a key member of the freight forwarding team, you will be responsible for arranging import shipments from worldwide origins, coordinating with clients and other branches, and providing exceptional customer service.
Key Responsibilities:
- Coordinate import shipments from worldwide origins, ensuring timely and efficient delivery.
- Liaise with clients, branches, and sales departments to ensure seamless communication and customer satisfaction.
- Provide expert advice on customs regulations and procedures, ensuring compliance with all relevant laws and regulations.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with shipping lines, airlines, and transport companies to ensure optimal service delivery.
- Manage and process import customs entries, ensuring accurate and timely completion.
- Stay up-to-date with industry developments and best practices to continuously improve service delivery.
Requirements:
- Minimum 2 years experience in a similar function in the freight forwarding industry.
- Proven track record of providing exceptional customer service and building strong relationships with clients and stakeholders.
- Strong knowledge of customs regulations and procedures, with the ability to apply this knowledge in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse stakeholders.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a strong focus on collaboration and teamwork.
What We Offer:
- Competitive basic salary of £32,000 - £40,000 per annum, dependent on experience.
- Bonus paid twice annually.
- 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday, 0900-1730 hours.
- Paid overtime.
- 25 days holiday plus bank holidays.
