About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Warehouse Operations Supervisor to join our team at International Logistics Group. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for directing and coordinating the goods in function, ensuring that daily tasks and activities are completed efficiently and effectively.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage the Goods In Function: Coordinate tasks and activities to ensure effective meeting of operational demands.
  • Oversee Team Productivity: Ensure that activities are cost-effective and that the overall productivity within the designated team is maximized.
  • Manage Resources: Ensure that levels of manpower and other resources are managed effectively.
  • Support Operational Change: Actively support operational change while minimizing disruption to production and service.
  • Coordinate Operational Activities: Manage and coordinate operational activities to ensure the required level of service is provided to the customer.
  • Improve Performance: Maintain and improve performance levels to maximize efficiency of operation in line with site KPIs.
  • Communicate Effectively: Attend briefings and ensure effective communications within the Operational Team.
  • Resolve Issues: Responsible for the communication of issues/information to the line manager, e.g., transport, delivery schedules, warehouse accuracy or general warehouse queries.
  • Develop Team Members: Be proactive in the development of team members and meet with them on a regular basis.
  • Lead and Motivate: Advise, lead, and motivate team members, allowing them to implement corrective measures.
Requirements
  • Previous Experience: Previous experience of successfully operating in a supervisory role in a Warehouse operation (desirable).
  • Attention to Detail: Previous experience of goods in with demonstrable attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Warehouse Knowledge: Sufficient experience and knowledge of warehouse operation to effectively manage designated areas to provide an excellent level of service to the customer.
  • Leadership Skills: Ability to support the Warehouse Manager in the performance management, development, mentoring, and coaching of members of designated team.
  • Coordinating Skills: Ability to co-ordinate and delegate within a team while remaining operationally hands-on, with the capability to co-ordinate daily activities.
  • Methodical Approach: Methodical and able to demonstrate the ability to prioritise workload and tasks.
  • Technical Skills: Possess an understanding of warehouse management systems and MS office packages (Excel, Word, Outlook).
  • Regulatory Knowledge: Understanding of, and ability to apply, warehouse, health, safety, and security laws and regulations.
  • Adaptability: Ability to react within a complex and growing operational environment.
  • Forward Thinking: Forward thinking with the ability to 'think on your feet'.
