Key Responsibilities:- Develop and Implement Research Strategy: Design and execute a comprehensive research strategy that aligns with the university's goals and objectives.
- Maximize Research Performance: Oversee the development and submission of high-quality research proposals, ensuring excellence in research governance and integrity.
- Commercialization and Impact Generation: Lead the commercialization of research findings and ensure significant economic impact through strategic partnerships and collaborations.
- Knowledge Exchange Framework (KEF) Implementation: Chair the College's Innovation and Commercialisation Board and oversee the implementation of the KEF.
- Staff Management: Manage all staff within the research, innovation, and knowledge exchange functions, ensuring effective leadership and high performance standards.
- Strategic Planning and Budget Management: Proven expertise in strategic planning, budget management, and project planning.
- Compliance and Regulatory Knowledge: Thorough understanding of compliance and regulatory requirements in a university setting.
- Research Management Experience: Experience of managing a Research Selectivity or Research Audit Exercise.
- International Research Networks: Successful record of developing international research networks and partnerships.
- Leadership Experience: Proven leadership experience in inspiring staff and achieving high performance standards.
- Competitive Salary: A competitive salary on Grade 10 of the College's London pay scale.
- Hybrid Working Model: A full-time schedule of 35 hours per week, with a hybrid working model.
- Consolidated Weighting/Allowance: Additional benefits, including a consolidated weighting/allowance for staff based in Greater London.
