Questech Recruitment Ltd is excited to present a fantastic opportunity for a Controls Systems Engineer to join a leading organization in the food manufacturing sector.

Role Overview:
As a Controls Systems Engineer, you will report directly to the Engineering Team Leader. Your primary responsibility will be to ensure the maintenance and repair of all machinery within your designated area, thereby maximizing production efficiency.

Each department adheres to rigorous standards concerning hygiene, health & safety, environmental practices, quality assurance, and ethical operations.

Compensation:
Salary ranges from £45,000 to £54,000 based on experience.

Working Hours:
This position operates on a 4 on 4 off day shift schedule from 05:30 to 17:30.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Respond to equipment breakdowns and perform reactive maintenance to support uninterrupted production.
  • Utilize and document Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) and breakdowns using the Pirana maintenance system.
  • Conduct daily maintenance on:
    • Packaging machinery
    • Disassemble machines for hygiene inspections and reassemble post-cleaning
    • Maintain and sharpen meat trimmer blades
    • Enhance the quality of cables and control panels
  • Possess a multi-skilled engineering background.
  • Experience in the food production industry, particularly in Fast-Moving Consumer Goods (FMCG), is advantageous but not mandatory.
  • Hold relevant engineering qualifications, with a minimum of an Engineering NVQ or equivalent.
  • Demonstrate the ability to work precisely under time constraints due to production demands.
  • Maintain continuous compliance with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP).
