Job Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced Claims Analyst to join our team in Suffolk County. As a Claims Analyst, you will be responsible for managing national claims related to marine-related claims, liaising with brokers, and troubleshooting settlements, fraud, subrogation, liens, and resolutions related to claims for the region.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage claims process from start to finish for specialized claims
  • Assist with implementation of new policies and procedures for claims
  • Work under little supervision and delegated authority for settlement claims
  • Oversee payment process and validation of claims in adherence to company policies and procedures
  • Manage target budgets and minimizing risk of financial loss to the company
  • Monitor claims investigations, reviewing insurance policies, analysis of statistical data related to claims

Requirements:

  • At least 3 years+ of marine, cargo, or freight forwarding experience
  • Strong written and verbal skills with above-average computer skills
  • Comfortable to work in a smaller team-oriented environment
  • Strong adherence to new policies and procedures directed by senior management
