About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Release and Transition Manager to join our team at the Solicitors Regulation Authority. As a key member of our IT team, you will play a critical role in coordinating and managing the release deployment and transition process to business as usual across the service lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities
  • Coordinate and manage the release deployment and transition process to ensure seamless integration with business as usual.
  • Develop and maintain the release policy, plan, schedule, scope, and resources to ensure alignment with business and customer needs.
  • Monitor and report on release progress, quality, risks, and issues, and manage third-party testing suppliers.
  • Oversee technical change delivery, including managing Test Managers and Technical Change Managers.
  • Track releases through all stages of the software development lifecycle, working with the Environment Manager to track releases through environments.
  • Maintain the 60-day and 90-day environment release plan and carry out activities to hand over projects or changes to IT Operations teams.
Requirements
  • 3-4 years of experience in ITIL Processes for Release, Change, and Configuration Management or Project Management.
  • Evidence of influential stakeholder management across all functions and levels.
  • Experience using DevOps or similar collaboration tools to deliver releases.
  • Understanding of the software development lifecycle (Agile/Waterfall) and testing practices.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Experience managing test partners.
