Position Overview:

Charity People is proud to collaborate with a prominent dog rescue organization in search of a dedicated and innovative Community Engagement and Fundraising Officer to enhance their committed team.


Location:
Hybrid (office-based with extensive travel across the West Midlands)

Salary:
£25,000 - £27,000, based on experience

Hours:
37.5 hours per week, including some weekends and public holidays

Contract:
Permanent / Consideration for a 4-day working week

Benefits:
22 days annual leave plus bank holidays, health cover, and pension scheme.

As a leading charity focused on rescuing, rehabilitating, and rehoming dogs, they provide shelter and compassionate care for thousands of dogs annually.

Role Responsibilities:
This position is vital to their strategic initiatives aimed at diversifying and enhancing fundraising and supporter engagement efforts.

As a Community Engagement and Fundraising Officer, you will play a crucial role in advancing their mission by connecting with local communities and cultivating relationships that drive support and funding.


Key Responsibilities Include:

  • Community Engagement: Foster and maintain relationships with community organizations, local businesses, councils, and educational institutions to promote the charity's essential work.
  • Fundraising Development: Design and execute creative fundraising initiatives to increase financial support and community participation.
  • Supporter Stewardship: Provide outstanding support to fundraising groups while ensuring adherence to legal standards and organizational policies.
  • Financial Management: Supervise financial objectives, budgets, and income associated with fundraising activities.
  • Event Collaboration:

Event Support:
Collaborate with the Head of Fundraising & Communications to plan and implement flagship community events.

Previous experience in fundraising, community engagement, or a related field is preferred.
