General Operative Team Member

About the Role

The primary objective of the General Operative role within the OCS Group is to provide support and assistance to team leaders in the efficient execution of warehouse operations, including recycling, kitting, packing, loading, and dispatching products to and from the warehouse to the airport.

As a key member of the team, you will be working on a variable shift roster between 06:00 and 23:00, with a guaranteed 37.5 hours per week.

Main Responsibilities:

  • To ensure that goods are properly sorted, recycled, packed, loaded, and dispatched in a timely and efficient manner.
  • To operate all equipment in accordance with safety expectations and certification requirements, including cages, pallets, stillages, shelving, racking, and machinery.
  • To maintain a safe and tidy working environment in the yard areas.

Requirements for Success:

  • Previous experience in a warehouse environment is preferred but not essential, as comprehensive training will be provided.
  • The role requires prolonged periods of standing, as well as the ability to kneel, bend, and squat to access and work with low-level stock.
  • The position involves manual handling activities, including pushing, pulling, lifting, and carrying.
  • You must be able to respond promptly to verbal instructions and audible warning devices.

Security Requirements:

  • To provide a verifiable 5-year employment work history for reference purposes.
  • Ability to pass a basic Criminal Record Check, with an Overseas Criminal Record Check applicable for international candidates.
