Overview:
Hatched Recruitment Group is seeking a Finance Business Partner to join our team in the Bexley area. This role is essential for individuals with experience in Adult Social Care, focusing on a contract that spans several months.

Key Responsibilities:
1. Oversee daily operations while managing a team of up to 6 Full-Time Equivalents (FTE).
2. Provide expert financial management guidance to service managers overseeing budgets of up to £200 million.

Collaborative Relationships:
Engage with various stakeholders including the Deputy Director of Finance and Property, Financial and Technical Accountancy Team, Strategy, Treasury and Pensions Team, Internal Audit, External Audit, and Directors across service departments.

Main Objective:
The primary aim of this role is to implement the business partnering function within the designated service area. This position is crucial for delivering strategic support and comprehensive financial advice across the Council.

As a Finance Business Partner, you will:
- Collaborate with service leadership teams to develop, critically assess, and support service plans and project execution.
- Take charge of managing and reporting on operational performance for the business partnering team.
- Evaluate situations from a commercial and financial standpoint, offering sound financial advice to facilitate complex business decisions.

In this role, you will work closely with all stakeholders to optimize the use of limited financial resources, providing essential strategic financial insights and support.

Qualifications:
- CCAB Accountant qualification or an equivalent relevant finance certification.
- Commitment to ongoing professional development.

Knowledge & Experience:
- Proven accounting and budgeting experience, with a solid understanding of local government finance frameworks, accounting principles, statutory requirements, and relevant codes of practice.
- Awareness of significant issues affecting local government and an understanding of the national policy landscape and future directions for local authorities.
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills, with a demonstrated ability to effectively convey information to diverse audiences throughout the organization.
