About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Occupational Therapist to join our team in South Gloucestershire Council. As an Occupational Therapist/Advanced, you will play a crucial role in enabling individuals to achieve independence and maintain their quality of life.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assess and develop individualized plans to support people in achieving their goals and maintaining independence.
  • Work closely with reablement providers and assessing practitioners to ensure effective support and maximize independence.
  • Support individuals to adjust their goals and develop strategies to enhance reablement outcomes.
  • Advise on the use of equipment, assistive technologies, and housing adaptations to support individuals.
  • Develop and maintain close working relationships with reablement providers and other stakeholders.
  • Be responsible for making recommendations for budget spend to ensure maximum value is delivered.
Requirements
  • Professional Occupational Therapy Qualification and current State Registration with the Health Professionals Council.
  • Experience of working in a hospital or community setting, or providing Occupational Therapy Services in a voluntary or agency setting.
  • Ability to demonstrate theoretical and applied knowledge relating to Disabled People and their needs.
  • Up-to-date knowledge of related legislation relevant to Social Services Occupational Therapy.
  • Excellent assessment skills and experience of managing complex cases.
  • Ability to work efficiently and manage time effectively to meet service requirements.
