Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Finance Manager to join our team at The Calico Group. As a key member of our finance team, you will be responsible for delivering timely and accurate financial information to stakeholders, including management accounts, budget setting, and financial forecasting.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain effective business partnering relationships with diverse stakeholders
  • Set and monitor budgets, and provide financial guidance to operational teams
  • Improve finance systems and processes to ensure efficiency and effectiveness
  • Ensure adequate financial controls are in place to mitigate risk
  • Prepare and review monthly management accounts, balance sheet, and reconciliations
  • Support the delivery of annual statutory accounts
  • Embed a culture of Value for Money (VFM) across the organization

Requirements

  • Qualified Accountant with experience in a similar environment, including production of management accounts
  • Previous experience of managing small groups of companies or SME background
  • Substantial accountancy experience, including budget setting and financial forecasting
  • Experience of working with operational teams to develop financial information
  • Team management and motivation skills to deliver high levels of staff engagement
  • Good communication and presentation skills
  • Ability to build and maintain strong working relationships at all levels
