About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Programme Manager to lead our Product Development team at Kohler Co. As a critical member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for driving the continuous enhancement of our product range, ensuring that our exceptional engineering standards are upheld throughout the product life cycle.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the Product Development team to drive initiatives that enhance the integrity of the current product portfolio, minimize warranty issues, and enhance customer satisfaction.
  • Collaborate with the Product Development Director and leadership team to establish processes, policies, and procedures to achieve world-class standards.
  • Act as a design authority in the new product development process & validation phases to guarantee that new products meet set standards and deliver acceptable warranty levels.
  • Ensure high customer satisfaction standards and safeguard the integrity of current products throughout their life cycle.
  • Continuously collect and analyze customer & user feedback to make incremental enhancements to the existing product portfolio.
  • Make strategic decisions regarding the current product range, balancing various metrics such as warranty, quality, value engineering, approvals, and compliance.
  • Collaborate with Customer Services to gather field-based feedback and communicate improvement strategies.
  • Engage with Manufacturing & Operations to understand production and supplier quality challenges and provide support through product engineering changes.
  • Coordinate with Product Marketing to oversee the current product portfolio and suggest product retirement, if necessary.
  • Supervise Engineering Changes to ensure product integrity is consistently maintained.
  • Report on product warranty and improvement initiatives to the Kohler Co. executive team.
  • Offer guidance and mentorship to team members within the Product Development function, nurturing a capable team that can deliver outstanding results.
  • Implement people management practices to maximize personnel development opportunities, including career management, Succession Planning, and training programs.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree (or higher) in a product development-related field (Engineering, Manufacturing, Quality, or Design)
  • Minimum of 5 years' experience in project or program management within a product engineering role, showing the ability to build teams, make informed decisions, and drive initiatives across different locations and functions.
  • Solid grasp of improvement methodologies such as Six Sigma and Kaizen
