Forensic Social Worker Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced and qualified social work practitioner to join our specialist mental health social work team based within a regional medium secure forensic hospital.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide high-quality social work services to patients with complex mental health needs.
  • Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement care plans.
  • Conduct thorough risk assessments and develop strategies to mitigate risks.
  • Develop and maintain effective relationships with patients, families, and other stakeholders.
  • Stay up-to-date with relevant legislation, including the Mental Health Act, Mental Capacity Act, and Care Act.
  • Contribute to the development of policies and procedures to ensure best practice in forensic social work.
Requirements:
  • Recognised social work qualification and current SWE registration.
  • Experience of social work practice in mental health, forensic services, or a related field.
  • Excellent teamwork, interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
  • Strong organisational, networking, and negotiating skills.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of relevant legislation and policies.
