Position Overview

We are looking for a passionate and dedicated Special Educational Needs (SEN) Teaching Assistant to contribute to our supportive and inclusive educational setting.

The successful candidate will demonstrate a strong commitment to assisting students with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and Attention-Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD), ensuring a nurturing and empowering learning atmosphere for every student.

Key Responsibilities

  • Offer personalized support to students with ASD and/or ADHD, addressing their unique needs within the classroom.
  • Work collaboratively with educators to develop and implement tailored learning plans and behavior management techniques for students with SEN.
  • Establish a safe and encouraging environment that fosters social and emotional health.
  • Assist in creating educational resources and materials specifically designed for students with ASD and/or ADHD.
  • Maintain effective communication with parents and other professionals involved in the students' education and care to ensure a comprehensive approach to their development.
Qualifications

  • Proven experience in supporting individuals with ASD and/or ADHD is required.
  • Strong knowledge of SEN support strategies and a dedication to fostering an inclusive educational experience.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal abilities, capable of building positive relationships with students, staff, and families.
  • Relevant certifications or training in Special Educational Needs is preferred.
Daily Responsibilities

  • Provide individualized assistance to students during lessons, ensuring full engagement and participation.
  • Collaborate with teachers to promote the inclusion of students in all school activities.
  • Track and document student progress, contributing to the ongoing development of their personalized support plans.
  • Encourage a supportive and inclusive classroom environment, fostering respect and understanding among all students.
  • Participate in professional development opportunities to enhance skills and knowledge in supporting students with SEN.
