SEN Teaching Assistant Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate SEN Teaching Assistant to join our team at a friendly primary school in Mitcham. As a 1:1 teaching assistant, you will play a crucial role in providing tailored support to a student with Special Educational Needs.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide one-on-one support to a student with SEN, both in and out of the classroom.
  • Assist with the development and implementation of individualized education plans (IEPs).
  • Adapt teaching materials and techniques to accommodate the student's needs.
  • Foster a positive and encouraging learning environment.
  • Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other professionals to support the student's learning journey.
Requirements:
  • Experience working with children who have SEN.
  • Experience of working with or caring for children, preferably in a school setting.
  • A clear DBS, if you do not have a relevant DBS, we can apply one for you.
What We Offer:
  • A competitive daily rate of £85-£105.
  • A long-term/ permanent contract.
