Position Overview
We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic pharmacy technician, either registered with the GPHC or in the process of registration, to become a vital part of our Outpatient Pharmacy team. In this role, you will play a key part in delivering a variety of pharmaceutical services, including the dispensing and distribution of prescriptions, providing guidance when necessary, and collaborating with pharmacists and other pharmacy professionals to ensure compliance with legal standards and departmental protocols to effectively serve our clientele.
Key Responsibilities
This position is ideal for individuals with experience in hospital pharmacy or those from a community pharmacy background looking to transition into a hospital setting. Comprehensive training and professional development opportunities will be available.
Applicants must have completed the necessary training and be registered or on the path to registration with The General Pharmaceutical Council as a pharmacy technician.
We encourage and support candidates in obtaining their ACPT if they have not already achieved this qualification.
Strong communication skills and proficiency in using computer systems for dispensing, inventory management, and documentation are essential. You will gain valuable experience with medications exclusive to hospital settings and work closely with multidisciplinary teams.

Qualifications
Essential:
- Registered or in the process of registration with The General Pharmaceutical Council as a Pharmacy Technician
- Proficient in computer usage
Desirable:
- Completion of a customer service training program
Experience & Knowledge
Essential:
- Prior experience in either hospital or community pharmacy settings
- Customer interaction experience
- Experience in dispensing medications
- Knowledge of effective stock management practices
- Familiarity with computer systems for inventory control and documentation
- Understanding of safe lifting and handling techniques
Desirable:
- Experience in a hospital pharmacy environment
- Familiarity with the WellSky system
