Role Summary

Financial Operations Coordinator

Collaborating with the Finance Manager, you will play a crucial role in ensuring financial precision and operational efficiency within the finance team. We are looking for a skilled professional to join our lively and supportive finance department. Your responsibilities will include managing time-sensitive tasks such as reconciliations, data management, generating reports, resolving inquiries, and assisting the broader Heidi team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct daily bank reconciliations using Xero across various accounts and currencies
  • Perform weekly reconciliations and gather necessary documentation
  • Monitor the accounts inbox and address inquiries
  • Oversee daily maintenance and reconciliation of virtual credit cards
  • Collaborate closely with the Operations Team to maintain and reconcile the primary booking system, ensuring data accuracy
  • Export, sort, upload, and audit data
  • Assist the Finance Manager in preparing information for monthly management accounts
  • Report on accruals and prepayments
  • Support the annual audit process and address any arising queries
  • Handle ad hoc finance tasks and reporting as needed

Qualifications

Essential Skills

  • Experience in a finance team managing core transaction postings and reconciliations
  • Proficient in handling large Excel datasets for reconciliation and analysis
  • Eagerness to learn new technology platforms to enhance team capabilities
  • Highly organized and detail-oriented
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Self-driven and adaptable, thriving in a fast-paced environment
  • Solid understanding of accounting principles

Preferred Skills

  • Previous experience in the travel and tourism sector
  • Familiarity with G-suite and Xero
