Job Title: Purchase Ledger Clerk

Watsham Consulting is seeking a highly skilled Purchase Ledger Clerk to join their team in Haywards Heath. As a key member of the finance team, the successful candidate will be responsible for processing purchase invoices and making timely payments to suppliers and subcontractors.

The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 3 years' experience in a similar role and possess excellent analytical and problem-solving skills. They will be able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment, managing multiple currencies and ensuring accurate and efficient processing of invoices and payments.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Entering supplier invoices and ensuring accurate three-way matching with purchase orders and goods received notes
  • Dealing with multicurrency invoices and payments, ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures
  • Preparing and approving payment runs, ensuring timely payment to suppliers and subcontractors
  • Reconciling multiple bank accounts and supplier statements
  • Setting up new suppliers and subcontractors on the COINS system

Requirements:

  • 3+ years of experience in a Purchase Ledger role
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
  • Local and able to attend the office 5 days a week
