About the Role

We are seeking a qualified social worker to join our Family Safeguarding Teams in Somerset. As a key member of our team, you will work alongside adult-focused practitioners to inform assessments and plans, and work with children and families experiencing challenges around complex neglect, sexual harm, physical harm, and risks outside the home.

In this role, you will have the opportunity to work with manageable caseloads, undertaking direct work with children and young people to hear their voice and understand their experiences. You will also work with parents and the wider family network, with access to Family Group Conferencing to support them to identify strengths, tackle problems, and change interactions and behaviors.

We are looking for a passionate and creative social worker who is proud of their profession and able to reflect and think creatively about how to build relationships to make a positive difference to children and families. You will need to be a qualified social worker registered with Social Work England and have experience working with children and families in social work within a Local Authority team. Experience of work within family courts is essential.

Terms and Conditions

We offer a competitive rate of pay, with regular pay at \u2828.19\u2829 per hour, Saturdays at \u2836.65\u2839 per hour, Sundays at \u2856.38\u2839 per hour, Bank Holidays at \u2842.29\u2839 per hour, and Call Out (Weekday) at \u2842.29\u2839 per hour.
