Job Description

We are seeking a skilled and motivated individual to join our team as a General Operative at our ready-mixed concrete plant in Costessey. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for driving the loading shovel and supporting the concrete plant supervisor in the efficient running of the plant.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Drive the loading shovel and ensure that concrete orders are dispatched to meet customer requirements.
  • Support the concrete plant supervisor in maintaining a safe and efficient working environment.
  • Assist in batching concrete, ensuring that it meets our quality and safety standards.
  • Conduct administration tasks, including using IT systems to manage site operations.
  • Support our maintenance engineers in maintaining excellent housekeeping standards and carrying out site improvements.
Requirements:
  • A full UK driving licence.
  • A genuine interest in the construction materials industry, specifically an interest in driving heavy mobile plant machinery.
  • Experience operating driving mobile plant (desirable).
  • Previous experience in a similar role (desirable).
  • First Aid qualification (desirable).
  • Good communication skills.
