Job Title: Building Control Surveyor

CRA GROUP LIMITED is seeking a highly skilled Building Control Surveyor to join our team. As a key member of our team, you will play a crucial role in ensuring that our clients' construction projects meet the required building regulations.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Carry out plans examination, inspection of works in progress, and control of demolitions and dangerous structures in accordance with the Building Act 1984 and other allied legislation.
  • Work at a mostly independent operating level, using professional judgement to undertake complex assessments and ensure the safety of occupants.
  • Represent the authority to ensure that new building developments and alterations to existing buildings meet the requirements of Building Regulations.
  • Provide supervision and support to junior members of staff with technical expertise to ensure compliance is achieved.
  • Attend emergency callouts 24/7/365 for immediate response to requests from Emergency Services.
Requirements:
  • Degree, HNC or degree equivalent in a construction related discipline.
  • Membership of a professional body such as RICS, CABE or CIOB.
  • Achieved or working towards a minimum of Class 2 registration.
  • 5 years Building Control experience, either with a local authority or a private organisation.
