The Building Control Surveyor role at JOB SWITCH LTD is a critical position that ensures the organization meets its statutory duty of enforcing the Building Regulations. This involves ensuring that all construction projects, including proposed demolition works, comply with the relevant regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Carry out plan checking and site inspections to ensure compliance with Building Regulations
  • Take appropriate action on dangerous structures and proposed demolition works
  • Contribute to the organization's goals of ensuring a safe and thriving built environment
  • Collaborate with Registered Building Inspectors to ensure effective enforcement of Building Regulations

Requirements:

  • At least 3 years of experience in Building Control
  • Local Authority Building Control experience preferred
  • Achieved or working towards BSR registration (Class 3)
  • Ability to carry out the full range of duties, including plan checking and site inspections
