About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated individual to join our Mental Health Support Team as a Children's Wellbeing Practitioner/Education Mental Health Practitioner. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in supporting children and young people with their mental health in education settings.

Main Responsibilities
  • Assess and deliver evidence-based interventions in educational settings for children and young people experiencing mild to moderate mental health difficulties.
  • Work in partnership with children, young people, and their families to support the self-management of presenting difficulties.
  • Undertake and record accurate assessments of risk and operate clear risk management processes in line with locally agreed procedures.
  • Liaise with other relevant professional support staff linked with the educational setting to ensure seamless support for children and young people.
  • Keep clear, professionally coherent records of all activity and use these records to inform decision making.
Requirements
  • Hold a CWP or EMHP qualification.
  • Have experience of working with children and young people, with a strong understanding of education systems and mental health support services.
  • Be able to build positive, trusting relationships with vulnerable children, young people, and their families.
  • Have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and support cultural change within education settings.
  • Be able to work effectively in a team, with a strong commitment to equal opportunities and diversity.
