We are seeking an experienced Mental Health Practitioner to join our East Sussex CAMHS Duty and Liaison Service team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing high-quality care to young people and their carers who are presenting with mental health crises.
Key Responsibilities- Respond to referrals from various sources, working closely with young people, their carers, and other professionals to facilitate safe care plans.
- Support tier 3 CAMHS with young people awaiting allocation of a Lead Practitioner, therapeutic work, or initial assessments.
- Respond to referrals from A&E and acute hospital wards, conducting comprehensive assessments, including risk assessment and safety care planning.
- Develop effective relationships within the Duty and Liaison Team and with general hospital colleagues, other agencies, and carers.
- Professional Health or Social Care Qualification with post-graduate training or experience relevant to child and adolescent mental health.
- Significant post-qualification experience, preferably in a mental health setting.
- Experience of working with people with serious mental health problems, risk assessment, and suicide and self-harm research.
- Understanding of Clinical Governance and previous experience in the community.
- Ability to travel across sites and be punctual and flexible across hours of work when required.
