About the Role

Ackerman Pierce Ltd is seeking an experienced Housing Needs Officer to join our team. As a key member of our organization, you will play a vital role in providing homeless relief and prevention services to vulnerable clients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct thorough assessments of homeless clients to identify their needs and develop effective support plans.
  • Provide expert advice and guidance to clients on their housing options and entitlements.
  • Work closely with other professionals, such as social workers and housing officers, to ensure seamless service delivery.
  • Stay up-to-date with relevant legislation, including the Homeless Reduction Act 2017 and the Housing Act 1996.
Requirements
  • Proven experience in conducting triage assessments and providing support to homeless clients.
  • Strong knowledge of the JIGSAW system and its application in homeless relief and prevention.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with vulnerable clients and colleagues.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a strong commitment to delivering high-quality services.
