We are looking for a committed Test and Inspection Engineer to join our team at HMP Highpoint, a Category C male correctional facility. Our team operates like a cohesive family, working Monday to Friday to foster a secure and supportive environment.

As part of the Facilities Maintenance Team, your role is crucial in ensuring the smooth operation of the facility, impacting the lives of prisoners, staff, and the wider community. You will collaborate with a diverse group of professionals, including plumbers, electricians, carpenters, and administrators, all dedicated to making a positive impact.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform electrical testing and inspections in compliance with safety regulations.
  • Utilize your expertise to maintain and improve electrical systems within the facility.
  • Work under pressure to meet tight deadlines while ensuring high standards of safety and quality.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of five years of experience as an electrician.
  • Two years of experience in a testing and inspection role is desirable.
  • Experience with commercial or industrial electrical systems is a plus.
  • Strong knowledge of health and safety regulations.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills.
  • Basic IT skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
  • Relevant certifications such as C&G 2367 or 2357 and NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Installations.
