Electrical Engineer - Test & Inspection Highpoint

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Electrical Engineer to join our team at HMP Highpoint, a Category C male prison. As a key member of our Facilities Maintenance Team, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth and safe operation of the prison.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Carry out electrical installation, testing, and maintenance work to a high standard.
  • Work closely with colleagues to identify and resolve electrical issues.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of electrical maintenance plans.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant health and safety regulations.
  • Provide excellent communication and customer service skills.
Requirements:
  • At least five years' experience working as an electrician.
  • Two years' experience working in a role as a test and inspection electrician or equivalent.
  • Experience working on commercial or industrial electrical systems and catering equipment.
  • Good working knowledge of relevant health and safety requirements.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Basic IT skills including knowledge of Microsoft Office Excel and Word.
  • Experience of working under pressure to tight deadlines.
  • C&G 2367 or 2357 (Electrical Installation).
  • C&G 2391 - Electrical inspection and testing.
  • NVQ level 3 in Electrical Installations or equivalent.
  • Good Health & Safety knowledge.
