Job Summary:

LTF Recruitment is seeking a dedicated and compassionate SEN teaching assistant to work with a child with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) in a welcoming Primary school in the Canley area.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide one-to-one support to a child in Key Stage Two with ASD and non-verbal communication needs.
  • Work collaboratively with the school's Special Educational Needs Coordinator (SENCO) and other staff members to develop and implement individualized support plans.
  • Assist with managing challenging behavior and creating a safe and inclusive learning environment.
  • Support the child's academic and social development, adhering to the Key Stage Two curriculum.
  • Participate in team meetings and contribute to the development of strategies to support the child's needs.

Requirements:

  • Experience working with children with ASD, SLCN, and non-verbal communication needs.
  • Understanding of the Key Stage Two curriculum and ability to support the child's academic development.
  • Experience managing challenging behavior and creating a safe learning environment.
  • Relevant qualifications or degree in a related field.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
