Job Title: SEN Teaching Assistant

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced SEN Teaching Assistant to join our team at Teaching Personnel. As a SEN Teaching Assistant, you will provide vital support to students with Special Educational Needs (SEN) in a classroom setting.

Job Duties:
  • Implement individualised learning plans and strategies as directed by the class teacher to support students with SEN.
  • Assist with classroom management and behaviour support for SEN students, ensuring a safe and inclusive learning environment.
  • Support students with personal care needs if required, demonstrating empathy and understanding.
Required Qualifications:
  • Experience working with SEN students in an educational setting, with a strong understanding of SEN strategies and interventions.
  • Effective communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with teachers and other staff members.
Experience:

Prior experience working with SEN students in an educational setting is essential, with a proven track record of supporting students with diverse needs.Knowledge and Skills:

  • Knowledge of SEN strategies and interventions, with the ability to adapt to individual student needs.
  • Effective communication skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with teachers and other staff members.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Additional training or qualifications in specific areas of SEN support, such as autism or ADHD.
  • Experience working with a range of SEN conditions, with a strong understanding of the needs of students with complex needs.
Working Conditions:
  • Temporary position with full-time hours, working within a school environment.
  • May involve assisting with personal care needs of students, with a focus on maintaining confidentiality and dignity.
