Position Summary: As a Garden Maintenance Operative, you will report directly to the Maintenance Team Leader and play a crucial role in the routine care of assigned gardens. Your responsibilities will encompass a variety of garden maintenance tasks, equipment upkeep, and adherence to operational directives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain the aesthetic quality of gardens to meet client expectations.
- Engage in regular communication with the Maintenance Team Leader regarding maintenance activities.
- Execute maintenance tasks efficiently and within designated timeframes.
- Comply with all organizational policies and health and safety regulations.
- Care for tools and equipment, reporting any necessary repairs.
- Foster positive relationships with colleagues, clients, and the community.
- Keep precise records of hours worked.
- Perform additional tasks as assigned by the Maintenance Team Leader.
Qualifications:
- At least one year of experience in residential garden maintenance or related skills.
- Basic understanding of garden maintenance techniques and plant identification.
- First aid certification is required.
- Ability to follow instructions accurately.
- Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
- Demonstrated work ethic and attention to detail.
- Preferred: Horticultural qualifications.
- Preferred: PA1 & PA6 spraying certifications.
- Preferred: Valid Driver's License.
- Physical capability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
Only candidates who meet the qualifications will be considered for this role.
