Are you an enthusiastic Control Systems Engineer seeking a rewarding opportunity? Resourcing Group is currently in search of a Control Systems Engineer to collaborate with a reputable and thriving client based in Milton Keynes, contributing to their Software and Controls team.

The Control Systems Engineer is responsible for the development and integration of hardware and software, ensuring the safe and efficient operation of the client's machinery.

About the Company: Our client is a prominent manufacturing organization in Milton Keynes, specializing in mechanical equipment. They are well-regarded for their product offerings and the excellent career advancement opportunities they provide.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop, write, and test module-level code in accordance with the software development lifecycle.
  • Create product-level code to facilitate the introduction of new products.
  • Modify existing code to support testing and validation of new developments.
  • Define software functionalities.
  • Produce custom test software to aid in testing and validation processes.
  • Adhere to best practices for version control and code commenting to ensure traceability and knowledge retention.
  • Assist with software updates for machines currently in operation.
  • Integrate hardware and software components of products.

Candidate Profile:

  • Strong academic foundation.
  • A degree in a relevant discipline (candidates lacking a degree may be considered if they possess significant and pertinent industry experience).
  • Proven experience in software development for mobile machinery.
  • Background in software development for electro-mechanical systems.
  • Familiarity with PLC programming using CODESYS, particularly with FBD (Functional Block Diagram) and ST (Structured Text) languages.
  • Understanding of hydraulic valve control.
  • Experience with the V-Model in software development.
  • Proficiency in software development using MS Visual Studio (C, C#, C++) is advantageous.

This is a full-time permanent position for a Control Systems Engineer, featuring a 40-hour work week and offering an annual salary of up to £65,000, along with company benefits such as 25 days of holiday plus 8 bank holidays, a pension scheme, and an annual bonus.
