Control Systems & Software Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled Control Systems & Software Engineer to join our team at Automation Experts. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and implementing cutting-edge control systems and software solutions for our clients in the aerospace, automotive, defence, and motorsport industries.

Your primary focus will be on developing and integrating control systems and software for aerodynamic test equipment, wind tunnel testing, and other complex engineering applications. You will work closely with our engineering team to drive the development of new solutions and support existing projects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and develop control systems and software for various applications
  • Integrate control systems with existing equipment and software
  • Develop and implement software solutions for data acquisition, safety systems, and networking protocols
  • Collaborate with the engineering team to drive the development of new solutions
  • Provide technical support and guidance to colleagues and clients

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.g., computer science, electrical engineering, mechanical engineering)
  • Strong knowledge of modern high-level programming languages (e.g., Delphi, C++, C#)
  • Experience with Beckhoff PLC software and servo motor/motion control systems
  • Ability to interpret electrical drawings and documents
  • Strong problem-solving and fault-finding skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
