Job Title: Electrical Design Engineer

Job Summary: We are seeking an experienced Electrical Design Engineer to join our team at Automation Experts. As an Electrical Design Engineer, you will play a key role in supporting the designing and building of robotic systems for pharmaceutical and medical projects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Designing and specifying machine safety systems to ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations.
  • Producing electrical control system designs for various projects, including special purpose machinery and robotic systems, using CAD software.
  • Understanding project requirements and producing schematic diagrams, hook-up diagrams, and build instructions for production.
  • Adhering to project timelines and ensuring timely completion of projects.
  • Contribute to risk assessment and good safety practices by maintaining awareness of activities and reporting potential areas of risk.
  • Creating testing, installation, and commissioning procedures and analyzing data to ensure system functionality and performance.

Requirements:

  • Dedicated professional with an Electrical/Electronic Engineering degree (Bachelors/Masters preferred) and 5+ years of relevant experience.
  • Strong awareness and understanding of relevant British, European, and International standards and their implications on design.
  • Experience in designing systems around industrial and collaborative robots and electronic circuit design and analysis.
  • Experience in implementing common industrial control techniques including PLC's, sensors, distributed IO, servo control, and pneumatic systems.
  • Proficiency in design software including SolidWorks electrical, EPlan, and AutoCAD.
