Position Summary:

Sierra 57 Consult Ltd is collaborating with a prominent manufacturer in the injection moulding sector, seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to enhance their operations during a phase of significant growth.


In this role, you will be responsible for the routine mechanical and electrical upkeep of production machinery, including injection moulding equipment and related auxiliary systems, ensuring seamless production flow aligned with the organization's objectives.


  • You will possess robust electrical and mechanical expertise, with a track record of engaging in a systematic maintenance strategy while addressing everyday breakdowns, issues, and repairs.
Diagnose and rectify electrical and mechanical malfunctions that arise in machinery and equipment.

  • Support the maintenance schedule for all machinery and equipment (including hydraulics, robotic systems, and automatic assembly lines).
  • Evaluate new machinery, automation solutions, and enhancements.
  • Conduct troubleshooting and failure analysis for processes and equipment.
  • Ensure all machinery and equipment is maintained in a safe and operational condition.
  • Aim to enhance the efficiency and safety of machinery and equipment.
  • Uphold meticulous records for all repairs and maintenance of machinery and equipment, as required for compliance, traceability, and warranty purposes, in line with the Quality Management System.
Experience in the injection moulding industry is advantageous, though training will be provided.

  • Prior experience in mechanical and electrical engineering.
  • A solid understanding of hydraulics, pneumatics, and electronic/electrical automation controls.
  • Familiarity with Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM).
  • Experience in reactive maintenance.
  • Roles such as Multi Skilled Maintenance Technician, Maintenance Technician, Electrical Maintenance Technician, Mechanical Maintenance Technician, and Electro-mechanical Maintenance Technician are relevant.
