Position Overview:
Our Business Insurance division supports companies in the UK and Ireland by providing tailored property and casualty solutions to effectively manage risks. We are looking for a Senior Development Underwriter to join our team. This role involves overseeing submissions, generating quotes, and finalizing agreements for new business, as well as negotiating terms and achieving targeted outcomes. Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee the profitability, growth, and retention of a designated portfolio.
- Underwrite risks while actively pursuing new business opportunities and maintaining existing relationships.
- Leverage technology platforms for enhanced efficiency.
- Build and nurture relationships with both internal and external stakeholders.
- Provide mentorship to junior underwriters and assist team members as needed.
Qualifications:
- A degree is preferred.
- Proven underwriting experience is essential.
- Familiarity with the local insurance landscape.
- Strong analytical, communication, and collaborative skills.
- ACII qualification is preferred.
Essential Requirements:
- Experience in Property and Casualty underwriting is a must.
- A valid driving license is required.
