As a Financial Crime Manager, you will be responsible for the management of the Financial Crime team. You will be responsible for work allocation, quality and the continuous training and development of the team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Define and implement processes to enable staff to report suspicious activities in respect of money laundering, including reporting to the relevant authorities where necessary.
- Be responsible for management and resourcing of the Financial Crime Operations Team.
- Manage the performance of the team through delivery of competency and QA framework and team training and development plans to develop the skills of the team and encourage retention.
- Maintain comprehensive Financial Crime department procedures and records which meet business and regulatory requirements.
- Ensure the team undertake Customer Due Diligence (CDD) on high risk customers pre and post funding in accordance with the CDD manual including investigation of Politically Exposed Persons (PEP), Sanction and adverse media alerts.
- In-depth knowledge of financial crime and financial services regulations, in particular Money Laundering Regulations and Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) requirements.
- Significant experience of fraud prevention techniques, fraud investigations and management.
- Ability to assess risks and evaluate impacts and develop appropriate, proportionate responses.
